Research Over Time

Our Research

We are committed to understanding how the Champions program impacts real-world outcomes for students. To do this, we collect and analyze anonymized self-reported data from participants at both the start and conclusion of each program.

Using validated clinical statistical methods, our team measures meaningful changes in student growth, resilience, and well-being.

Our research currently centers on three key studies exploring:

  1. Students’ ability to overcome personal and academic challenges

  2. The development of positive self-perception and confidence

  3. Long-term life outcomes and sustained personal growth

Through this data-driven approach, we aim to identify what truly works in helping students thrive—and to continually refine our programs for greater impact to create better Champions.

Three Major Studies

  • Lead Researcher: Dr. Li Ph.D.

Dr. Li is evaluating the efficacy of the Global Champions using advanced statistical models at National Taiwan University. Her study measures the effect of emotional regulation for students completing the emotional regulation course, students feeling of problem solving capability after the problem solving course, and their relationship health after completing the relationship management course.

The study is ongoing as the study is conducted in segments per course. The early findings examine student outcomes after completing the emotions management indicate improvement in both emotional resillence and management.

  • The study is ongoing examining the first

  • Lead Researcher: Dr. Steven Long, Ph.D.

Dr. Steven Long evaluated the efficacy of the Global Champions using advanced statistical models partnering with Duke University. His analysis combined quantitative outcomes with participant feedback to measure program impact on learning, behavior, and well-being.

Results showed statistically significant improvements in key performance areas, including resilience, engagement, and emotional regulation. Findings confirm that the Global Champions produces measurable, lasting benefits for program

  • Research indicates positive behavior change in inner city male adolescents, positive Affect overall attitude, and less juvenile crime over 5 year period.

  • Lead Researcher: Dr. Man Ling Chen

Dr. Man Ling Chen evaluated the short term efficacy and effect on emotional outcomes at UCLA in 1999.

Results showed statistically significant improvements for students completing the core three curriculum. Findings confirm that Global Champions produces measurable, lasting benefits for students completing program.

  • Research shows an increase Academic Self Efficacy, Decrease Drop Out Rate, and a Decrease in Gender Gap Performance for students completing the program.
